AWE YEA! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Moonie Review!! This week, we're looking at the Proplica Moon Wand! SHH! I know it was released a while ago and 50,000,000,000 people have reviewed it, but I'M SPECIAL! So sit back and enjoy! I said ENJOY! (hehe) But in all seriousness, watch the video, read the blog or do both, it's all in good fun! ;)

Quality - The quality of this wand is by far the best quality we've seen coming from a Sailor Moon wand. Although it's plastic, it really is carefully made and put together without many (if any) flaws!

Appearance - What can I say? .. If Sailor Moon were to jump out of the TV screen with her wand, THIS is what it'd look like! It's like magical girl goodness straight from the magical girl! The plastic has a nice matte finish, except for the gold, to which is REALLY pretty and shiny!! The lights are a nice touch, especially in the crystal! And instead of that silly pink ring, we get something that actually LOOKS like the crystal on the wand. Very much like the Sailor Moon World wand.

Packaging - Coming in a VERY sturdy white box, with a compartment for each piece, carefully packaged to limit if not eliminate the potential of damage to the product shows that they took great care in understanding the collectors standpoint on this piece.

Art - Beautifully and elegantly done IMO. With the moon all made using other Sailor Moon pictures and her right in the middle, it's quite well done. The back having information and pictures of the wand itself really shows that they wanted this to stand out from other boxes in the past. It definitely separates this piece from the toys.

Functionality - While it looks amazingly cool, it does NOT vanquish youma!! I repeat, it does NOT vanquish youma!!! Youma being that person next door who just LOVES to be a JERK and put all his leaves on your lawn! *ahem* You simply can use it within the comfort of your own home or at conventions and enjoy fellow moonies gazing in awe at your MAD Moon Skillz. OR, you can put it on the stand and display it with pride.

Fun - Have I mentioned how much fun it is to run around the house with this and "moon dust" anything you don't like!? Like, asparagus .. BAM! .. Moon dusted! .. or when your significant other decides to be a poo head and not put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher, when it's literally 8 inches from the sink!! .. Or at 2 am when you're on a Mountain Dew high and you decide to moon dust him or the cat by jumping around the corner and screaming your attack phrase whilst they clench their chest because they are just in awe of your awesomeness! .. okay, maybe not any of those things, but you can definitely have fun at a convention with this or just messing around behind your closed and locked bedroom door .. DON'T JUDGE ME!!

Cost - This piece is not entirely for those who are looking for something they can really toss around. Unfortunately, because it is considered a collectable, it is the price of one. Be ready to spend about $90 for this .. but $90 well worth it IMO.

Availability - Well, most sites have already sold out of this item, but you might get lucky and find this beauty on Amazon or even eBay. If you're looking at a proxy service, like FromJapan, they can help you find one as well! I believe if you're familiar with Mandarake they may have one from time to time too. So you definitely have to do some digging for this one.

This wand may be aimed towards the collector, but don't let that detour you from getting this awesome piece. Whether you like to keep things in the box or take them out to display them, or even use them for cosplay or just for fun purposes, it really is a good investment. It may not be worth as much as the Sailor Moon World wand that was released many years ago, but if you're a Sailor Moon fan, it's already worth all that and more..
