Happy Memorial Day everyone! Today we're going to be looking at the Sailor Moon Magnet set by GE. This set was released in late 2011/early 2012.

Quality - Unfortunately, the quality of these magnets aren't up to the Japanese standards of the Gashapon magnets we're so used to seeing. This magnet set comes off a thin sheet of magnet, with each you have to pop out. The pictures themselves are glued and printed, which means over time and use, these poor things will tend to buckle, bend, bubble or simply come apart.

Appearance - This magnet set is really colorful and attractive. The characters seem to pop off the page and we FINALLY have a set that has EACH of the senshi's names with their pictures! And the way they are printed onto the sheet itself, leaves it very pleasing to the eye for collectors to display.

Packaging - The packaging on this is better than we're used to with their other items. This time we have a cardboard backing to it, so that these pieces hopefully won't bend during shipping and storage. Atop this, we have the familiar plastic wrapping over it, so they don't get frayed, scratched or scuffed.

Art - As I mentioned before, the colors on here are very vibrant and the new stands are really a nice change. More so, is the fact that we have next to or behind them, their "element" as it were, in the off color of their outfit as well! It's really a nice touch!

Functionality - If you're looking to hang your Sailor Moon fanart on there, hopefully it's not too thick, otherwise, you might need all of them to hold it up there. These magnets are NOT very strong, thus, are best for just decor more than anything else.

Fun - It's always awesome to venture into your fridge with your favorite senshi looking at you to greet you for the day. Hopefully they're going to encourage good eating with healthy choices.. just don't listen to Usagi .. she always makes me get stuff like donuts and chip dip and chocolate and .....

Cost - I've seen these going for anywhere from $6.50 to $15.00, depending on where you go.

Availability - Once more, if you live near an FYE store, you can get them there for a nice price. Otherwise, you can find them on Amazon or eBay.

These magnets are a fun accessory to your refrigerator or even your office! They're not the best to stick something up, but they are a blast to have none-the-less. And the use of them doesn't necessarily stop at putting on your fridge or magnetic substance .. I mean, you could always secretly use them as action figures and re-enact your favorite Sailor Moon episode!! Or .. so I've been told anyway .....
