So it's Monday and this Monday we're going to be looking at the Sailor Moon business card holder that is being currently sold at most Hot Topic stores and on HotTopic.com occasionally. It is also in fact, a licensed TOEI Animation item.

Quality - The quality of this item is fairly nice. It's made of a nice metal with metal on the inside and a handy little button to swing it open in a seconds time. The tin itself is fairly sturdy, though I wouldn't recommend running your car over it, however, it seems a bit off in alignment, which could cause issues later on if you're not careful.

Appearance - This case gives the appearance of an old cigarette case, much less a business card case. I may be old fashioned, but business card holders didn't look as such growing up, and with the clips on the inside, it does give that feel. However, my understanding is that both went both ways. Either way, the case is nice, although a bit on the bulky side.

Packaging - Yet again we have this flimsy cardboard to hang it with. Although the cardboard has almost a plastic like feel to it, which gives a bit more insurance this would be less easy to drop to the floor at your local store.

Art - This is where I really am disappointed. The artwork is nice, and the characters around the logo is very cute. However, we have this fuzzy almost blurred look on it, which really breaks away from the quality of the image itself. From a far, this piece is very nice to look at. But up close, my eyes keep trying to focus in on something that simply cannot be focused from the start. It's a shame really, because once again, the artwork is very nicely put together. The artwork on the tag itself is a refreshing change with Sailor Moon from the 2nd season with her Cutie Moon Rod in hand.

Functionality - Functionally speaking, it does what it's set out to do. Unfortunately, all too well. The button that you would press to flip it open is HIGHLY sensitive! It will pop open at the most sensitive touch to it. The alignment is just ever so slightly off on mine as well. Though it really doesn't make a difference, as it doesn't impact the functionality of the item, it still should be noted, in case you store this in your purse with other items.

Fun - How much fun is it, to go to work and when someone asks for your business card, whip this bad boy out and hand out your card in Moonie style!? I'll tell ya how much fun.. LOTS of fun!!

Cost - This piece retails for $12.00 USD.

Availability - This piece tends to bounce on and off the online website. So it's best to check it daily if you don't have a local HT near you. Otherwise, you can always walk into your local store and see if there are any in stock!

So if you're looking for something to store your business cards or other reward cards (I have like 50 of them for places I never even go to!! .. and yet, can't get RID of them, because what IF I go there?!), or even act as your own personal wallet! Just keep in mind that you don't want this thing popping open at any old time! We wouldn't want to flash your Sailor Moon Review membership badge while at your business luncheon, now would we? (Okay .. so there is no SMR membership badge .. but that'd be pretty boss, right? ;D)
