Yet another Wednesday and today's review is about the Sailor Moon "trucker" Cap that came out from GE in June of 2012.

Quality - The quality of this cap is semi-well done. You'll notice I called this one a "trucker" style cap and soon you'll figure out why, if you haven't already.. This cap is made of a soft material, lined with a thin layer of foam between and a plastic mesh for the back. The words are embroidered on, while the gems hang from simply 2 prongs. The picture itself of Sailor Moon and all, is screen printed in fine lines, save for the actual brooch in the middle, which is heavily screen printed.

Appearance - This cap screams "10-4 good buddy!". It's made like the old trucking caps that used to be for sale when I was a kid (maybe they still are?). The pink mesh clashes with the cream colored front. Yes, it's cream colored. While a lot of pictures, even my own, may look misleading, do not be mistaken that this is in fact cream colored. Which leaves it looking somewhat dirty in my opinion. The words are nicely sewn in, but the gems are just haphazardly punched in with only 2 prongs. I anticipate mine to loose a couple while in use. The screen printed image background of the cap is very thin lined, which will likely leave to it coming up and ultimately off in short order of use. But hey, at least it's adjustable, right?

Packaging -Yet again, a nice tag and a 'have a nice day' from GE. The tag I had taken off earlier and taken pictures of for my twitter account. But is NO different from any of the previous tags shown in this blog, save for the fact it says "Sailor Moon Cap" on it.

Art - The artwork for this cap is really something special. With a full on Sailor Moon on it and her moon wand with a starry background and colored and bedazzled brooch! All the details are in there as well, even the crystal itself has it's little markings in there!

Functionality - After wearing this hat in over 90 degree weather, I can say that this hat is very nice and comfortable to wear. it keeps the head cool and the sweat off rather nicely. The sun was out of my eyes and I still got to enjoy what little breeze came my way through the mesh backing.

Fun - How much fun is it, to wear a Sailor Moon hat like this, flashing a peace sign as you nod to the other truckers, pull your invisible horn to offer a "keep on truckin'"?! Hopefully when YOU do it, the truckers won't hit the gas petal like they're being chased by a zombie horde like they did for me.

Cost - $14 to $27, depending on where you go.

Availability - Once again, you have a nice set of options here. With eBay bringing up the forefront of the stock, followed by Amazon and their vendors and finally, we have the misc. anime stores that you have in my link area. All a good bet for purchasing this hat.

So there you have it. If you're looking for a truckers cap that'll FINALLY say what you're all about while hauling that heavy load behind you in that huge Mack truck, this is the hat you'll want to be sporting. But just in case you're not interested in becoming the next "trucker" on the freeway, this hat is a nice addition to a hot day anytime.
