So today I'll be doing a SPECIAL Saturday review of the Sailor Moon iPhone 4 case by GE Animation. This iPhone 4 case was personally bought via Hot Topic, one of the leading stores carrying the GE products.

Quality - This particular piece gets 4 ♥'s because of it's hard plastic shell. Although it's nice to snap into the iPhone 4 with ease, it won't do much in protecting your iPhone for any major falls or spills. The plastic is just that, plastic, with no inner bumpers or any other shock absorbing material within the iPhone 4 case. Though it will prevent scuffs from a fair sized drop, it won't aid in completely protecting your iPhone 4.

Appearance - This case gets 4 ♥'s for appearance because of it's outstanding paint job on the case itself! It features all of the original scouts and is very attractive in color for the iPhone user and moonie lover.

Packaging - The packaging for this product gets a sour 2 ♥'s however. It's in a rather flimsy plastic packaging, surely no thicker than a couple sheets of paper. It bends, rips and doesn't protect the case itself rather well like other iPhone 4 packaging does. However, if it's just to place on the shelf or make sure the artwork doesn't get scuffed up in transit, then it does it's job.

Art - This piece gets an outstanding 5 ♥'s for the artwork. Although most of us already are familiar with the Italian artist "Marco Albiero", you can see the amazing similarities between his version of the Senshi and the licensed Naoko Takeuchi version. Great minds think alike? The colors are incredibly vibrant and having not only all 5 Senshi but Tuxedo Mask as well is definitely a plus! All set to a very nice, not so over baring pink background that really lets this case shine.

Functionality - This piece get's 5 ♥'s for functionality, as it does exactly what it's set out to do. Be a lovely looking case for your iPhone 4 and help protect it from some potentially nasty falls.

Fun - This piece get's another 5 ♥'s for fun, because this truly is a conversation piece. What better way to meet new friends than to display your case while talking on your iPhone 4!? It really is eye candy!

Cost - This piece get's 4 ♥'s for cost, as it's only a whopping $14.50! In comparison to other iPhone 4 cases out there, it's on the low end of the cost totem pole. Although it's not as sophisticated as the Otter brand cases out there, it truly is a lot better than the lesser Silicone cases that seem to wander about local stores for only $10. It definitely is worth the $15 and so very much more!

Availability - This piece gets 3 ♥'s for availability. This particular item is currently only available at some Hot Topic stores nationwide (whatever is left in stock) and on Amazon.com. And if you're ready to do some hunting, on various online anime stores. Unfortunately, those who were not able to snag this piece up at HT when it was available, will have to pay an extra $4.49 more to obtain this particular piece off various vendors on Amazon.

Overall this item is worth it for any collector or iPhone user .. or both! It truly is a lot of fun and a true work of art in itself. One can only hope we'll see more phenomenal work in many other variations of the iPhone 4 casings. Until then, moonies will just have to deal with the AMAZING case that is already out there. (I totally feel your disappointment, heh)

  1. Haha I told my husband the next time I get a phone I'm considering an iPhone primarily because of this case. He was not amused :3
